New Washington Post Article Shows Stronger 9-1-1 Systems a National Priority

A feature article in the Dec. 2 Washington Post describes problems that have affected 9-1-1 services in Northern Virginia before and after the June 29 "derecho” storm. In combination with this week’s 20th anniversary of the first text message ever sent, the article highlights the urgent need to ensure that 9-1-1 works flawlessly with all current and future technologies.
