NENA announced today that Dan Henry has joined the NENA staff as the association's new Director of Government Affairs. "I'm excited to start work for NENA at such a critical juncture in the transition to Next Generation 9-1-1," said Henry. "The foundation built over the past decade by NENA's board, staff, and membership gives me confidence that we can complete the goal of a nationwide transition to Next Generation 9-1-1 in the near future and succeed in making a safer and more secure public through universally-available, state-of-the-art 9-1-1 systems and trained 9-1-1 professionals."
A born-and-raised Buckeye, Henry earned his undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from Ohio Northern University and his Juris Doctor from the University of Colorado-Boulder. Before TIA, Henry worked for Booz Allen Hamilton with the Department of Homeland Security's Office of Emergency Communications (DHS OEC) and at ACT | The App Association and Wilkinson Barker Knauer, LLP.
