The NENA Executive Board and Staff wish to extend our deepest sympathies to all affected by the tragic events in Aurora, CO during the early morning hours of July 20, 2012. While we mourn this senseless loss, we are thankful to the first responders whose actions saved hundreds of lives that day. As an organization and as fellow citizens, we are grateful to the 9-1-1 calltakers, dispatchers, police officers, and EMTs of the greater-Aurora area who worked together to quickly apprehend the suspect, provide care to the wounded, and restore safety to the community.
