NENA Security for Next-Generation 9-1-1 Standard (NG-SEC)is now available for Public Review.The purpose of this document is to establish the minimal guidelines and requirements for the protection of NG9-1-1^(?) assets or elements within a changing business environment.  This document:

• Identifies the basic requirements, standards, procedures, or practices to provide the minimum levels of security applicable to NG9-1-1 Entities.
• Provides a basis for auditing, and assessing levels of security and risk to NG9-1-1 Entities, assets or elements, and exception approval / risk acceptance process in the case of non-compliance to these guidelines.

Please use one of the following methods to submit your comments:

1. If you are a NENA Committee member, please submit your comments using the NENA Intranet (WebEx) Comments Tracking Database. Select “NEW” and fill in the blanks. If you have a lot of comments you also have the ability to attach a document.
2. If you are not a NENA Committee member, please complete the NENA Document - Comment Tracking Form and email to commleadership@nena.org.
