Last week, Sherry Decker, ENP was appointed to the position of NENA Co-Chair of the National Joint TERT Initiative (NJTI). Before her appointment, Sherry was the Texas representative to the NJTI Board and was part of the original TERT development group.

Sherry is the 9-1-1 Operations Supervisor for the North Central Texas Council of Governments, and brings nearly three decades of public safety experience to the TERT leadership team. She is currently the Texas NENA President, as well as a TCLEOSE certified instructor who has developed and taught courses for National NENA.

Sherry replaces Doug Edmonds as NENA Co-Chair. "On behalf of the NENA Executive Board, I want to thank Doug for his leadership of the NJTI program," said NENA President Rick Galway, ENP. "He was instrumental in NJTI's inception and has helped grow TERT into a nationally recognized resource. I look forward to working with Sherry to further expand and enhance this vital initiative."
