The Accessibility Committee provides technical assistance and resources on operational, policy, regulatory and procedures to various committees and working groups to ensure that agency systems and programs are accessible and usable by people with disabilities. Also, the Accessibility Committee provides assistance in the development of document as well as deliverance of material for the purpose of protecting the lives and property of people with disabilities.

The Accessibility Committee meets once a month to review updated information, projects, and NENA activities.
These Work Groups meet as the Co-Chairs establish conference calls - typically bi-monthly or monthly.
- Emergency Notification for Persons with Disabilities, Co-Chairs: Jim House & Toni Dunne, ENP
The Emergency Notification for People with Disabilities Work Group is currently developing an informational document on access to emergency warning and information through visual and/or tactile means via text, video, graphics, or other means of communication for persons with disabilities, including individuals who are Deaf, Deaf-Blind, Hard of Hearing or have other disabilities and access functional needs that have an impact on their ability to receive traditional English text or audible messages. This WG is looking for volunteers to assist with the information document.
- Managers Guide to the ADA Title II: Direct Access, Co-Chairs: Wrentree Kelly-King & Kerry Coward
The Managers Guide to the ADA Title II: Direct Access Work Group is currently reviewing and updating the standard document to ensure that information from amendments of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), as amended, and other essential federal rulings on providing direct and communication access to callers with disabilities are included. This WG is looking for volunteers to assist with the information document.
- Communications Modalities, Co-Chairs: Ray McCarty, ENP
The Communications Modalities Work Group is developing an informational document with chart that lists potential communication modalities used by different populations including people with disabilities to call and to communicate with 9-1-1, which includes combination of video, voice and text via different network systems during NG9-1-1 environment. Volunteers and co-leader are requested to participate in this work group.
